The Friends of the Library conducts used book sales monthly, and annually at the Merom Chautauqua and Corn Festival, to raise funds for the library. Proceeds from sales are used to support a wide variety of Library initiatives, including:

  • providing refreshments for library programs and events;
  • purchasing books and prizes for the youth Summer Reading program;
  • contributing books for the Salvation Army Back to School Blitz;
  • paying for annual special events (like the Animal Tales shows) and more!

Members of the public are invited to join the Friends of the Library to help plan events, organize donated books and work at book sales. Contact the library at 812-268-4957 for more information or click Join Friends! to complete a membership form.
